Karen O'Connor

Karen is originally from Millstreet Town Co. Cork but now lives and works in Tralee Co. Kerry. Karen is a poet and short-story writer and her work has appeared in many magazines and anthologies. Her poetry has been translated into French, Dutch and Irish. Karen was short listed for the Fish International Poetry Prize 2006 and Commended for the Ware Poets Open Poetry Competition 2006. She also has a passion for short fiction, for which she has won The Nora Fahy Literary Award. She is a founder member of Scribblers a Tralee Writers' Group and has performed her work in England, France and Belgium as well as Ireland.
