Mark Whelan

Mark Whelan was born in Limerick City in 1960. He is a co-founder and on-going committee member of Cuisle: Limerick City International Poetry Festival. His poetry collections are Scarecrow Diptych (Anam Press, 2002), Always Pushing the Pull Door (Revival Press, 2007) and Brighton Suite (Pighog Press, 2010). Whelan also edited On the Counterscarp - and Anthology of Limerick Writing 1963-1993. He has read at national and international poetry festivals, and his work has been translated into several European languages.
